Thank you all

As most of you have probably heard by now, BoV is shutting its raiding doors for good. We've been hard at it for almost 6 years, going all the way back to the WoW beta, our years spent on Blackhand, and our current home of Baelgun.

There's been WAY too many great people to come into the BoV family through the years to even attempt to thank them all. The fun times we shared everywhere from Molten Core and Blackwing Lair, all the way through The Burning Crusade and The Wrath of the Lich King. The real life debauchery in Las Vegas, San Antonio, Biloxi, and everywhere in-between, has been amazing as well. I came into playing this game with a small group of friends who were all refugees from Everquest, and we end the long journey many years later with many new friends, which will last much longer than any video game.

BoV really was like a family. We saw our friends and guildmates get married, get divorced, have kids(raiding while in labor is not recommended, but its been done!), and really experience the whole range of human emotion. We've had guildmates sucker their wives/husbands/children/parents/cousins/siblings/aunts/uncles, their whole families, into sharing their online time together. That is what really made BoV special. It was a place that everyone could be comfortable and call home.

Sure, we always enjoyed laughing when our mages didn't get healed and died, watching our tanks charge a new boss and get 1-shotted, watch a random mob get loose and eat all the healers, yelling at our hunters to feign before they get aggro, yelling at our druids for that last innervate, bitching at the paladins for not buffing our pets, curse at our rogues for vanishing and surviving the wipe, screaming at a warlock as their pet decides to run off into a room of enemies on its own, generally cursing Blizzard when 75% of our loot was stuff we didn't need, but it was all a hell of a lot of fun along the way that is for sure.

So thank you all, every single person who spent time with us in this crazy guild, and made it what it was, a great place to log on and hang out with friends for all these years. It was a great run, and one of the most enjoyable experiences I've ever had in getting to know all of you. Through the good and the bad, all of those long conversations and R-rated late night, alcohol-influenced guildchat trainwrecks, I wouldn't trade it for anything.

All the guild members that made KyenaClaus's "nice" list on the LFG should look for a surprise in their Christmas mail

Crusader's Colisem (25-man normal mode) is clear!

Well, we plowed through Crusader's Coliseum on normal mode. We beat every 25-man encounter in the zone on our first night of attempting it, some of them only taking a couple tries to perfect our strategy. Great job by everyone staying focused and coming prepared to kick some ass. Now its on to the hard modes!

Crusader's Coliseum is open!

Crusader's Coliseum opened up this week on all the servers, and BoV went in and had a look around. After spending a couple hours getting used to the first encounter, Northrend Beasts, we walked away with some pretty nice loot for our efforts. Gotta love a fight where you have both "FIRE BAD" in one phase and "FIRE GOOD" in another phase. One of these days Blizzard is going to release a raid zone that has no fire of any kind in it. Well, at least I can dream...

First week in Ulduar

Our first week of raiding in Ulduar has been very good to us. BoV has lept out of the gates and downed 4 Ulduar bosses in 4 nights of raiding in the dungeon. Expect more to fall pretty quickly as we mow through the place, stopping only long enough to grab our loot and rez our mages

After just a couple short weeks of 25-man raiding, Naxxramus has been cleared. Up next is some fun with everybodys favorite blue dragon - Malygos! Looks like we have some serious farming to do in the near future.

Welcome Lich King!

Well, the time has come; more grinding levels, more talent points to spend, more instances to run, and more phat loot to be had. So everyone take the day off work, take your pants off (for comfort you perv!), and put on your jackets because it's COLD out there!!

Did I mention how much I hate cold weather?

NEW LFG!

The new LFG has some extremely cool features I think you'll all really like!

NEW LFG

Feature List:

Groups Integrate seemlessly with the new GameStation module.
Users can create groups for any game they please, full featured with Join With Main capability.
You no longer have to type in your character to join a group, the group decides for you which of your characters/gamer_tags/ect... are acceptable for a group and gives you the choice.
Join With Main received a huge buff, Join With Main will now look at the group a player is attempting to join and try to find the most appropriate way to place that player into the group (ie. details below)
Timezones are now automatically calculated for you based on the timezone you chose in your userprofile [EDIT USER PROFILE]

OLD LFG still exists for now and contains the 2 old groups > OLD LFG

New Multi-Game Backend online. Please create a player profile now!

www.bovguild.com/?name=GameStation

You can now add Consoles, Games, PCGames, and Toons to what is now called [MY PROFILE]

Everyone needs to create a profile. The old PDB and Roster is now depreciated. This is the system we'll be proceeding with from now on.

Feature List:
-Create/Add/Manage Consoles, Games, PCGames, and Characters in your profile
-Dynamic Roster's of Games and PCGames (creating a new roster for another MMORPG is as simple as someone adding the game to their personal profile. SPIFFY!)
-In Depth Match Making (Match your games with everyone else who also play your game)
-AutoRoster's Automatically Update your Toon for you. All you have to do is Add his/her name to your profile and autoroster will take care of the rest. (this is the new form of 'claiming')
