New Voice Server


Atiana 62 posts 0 votes Officer Member Contributor	The subscription that we have for this website comes with a Mumble server. Mumble is an Open Source version of Teamspeak/Ventrilo. Because it comes with it, we would like to try it out and see how we like it before we purchase a different TeamSpeak server. Download the Mumble client HERE. Come to the website and log in. Zylok 11 posts 0 votes Officer Member Contributor	We can use whatever we want, Mumble is just free to use for us, and it's less expensive to upgrade if/when we need. If we all opt to use Teamspeak we can. However after dinking around with it for a few hours I don't see any real difference between Mumble and Teamspeak. Plus if we stay with Mumble we can use the site's Forum authentication for mumble server authentication soon* down the line. * soon is relative to what enjin decides is soon. But as of now I'm certainly happy enough with Mumble. Pros out weight the cons for now, but again, like I said, we can always switch to whatever Voice service we want now or down the line -- it's just more expensive and I have to go in and setup custom authentication like I did before on the old site. - Zy(enter class name here) Posted Jan 2, 12 0 votes 0 votes
